Congratulations to the students in 6th class who have graduated from Bigstone National School. Our graduation ceremony was held on the 24th of June with a prayer service led by Fr. Ger, followed by a celebration of awards the school achieved over the year, the graduation and a cake. Our 6th class students were presented with a class hoodie, a folder with photos and goodbye messages and a certificate. All parents and families were invited into school to take part in this special occasion.
The students in the senior room have been working hard on learning a variety of strategies to complete multiplication and division tasks. Well done boys and girls.
Well done to the students in the senior room for setting up and running their own hockey games during lunch times.
Following learning about Italy, Italian artists and the Romans, the students had the opportunity to make their own sculptures from clay. The theme was Christmas, and the students really enjoyed using clay and a variety of implements to make their sculptures.
