Our Parents’ Association is a wonderful organization and a fantastic way for all parents of the school community to become actively involved in their child’s education journey.

The Parents Association meets regularly to discuss ideas and opportunities for fundraising throughout the school year. The money raised is used to purchase additional resources and to fund trips throughout the school year for our students.

Fundraisers, Activities and Events
Bigstone Family Fun Loop Walk takes place every October and is a wonderful way to socialise with the school community, enjoy the local surrounds, exercise, and enjoy a cuppa afterwards.

The Annual Christmas Concert would not be the success without the support and help of the Parents Association. Tea, coffee, and treats are provided, a fun raffle is held and a visit from Santa Claus himself provides huge excitement throughout the school community.

Summertime Parachute Jump was one of the phenomenally successful fundraising events organized by the Parents Association. It created big excitement and was enjoyed thoroughly by all who attended.

Swimming is subsided by the Parents Association and is a wonderful life skill that all students leave Bigstone National School with by the end of 6th class.  Christmas Community Cookbook was created by the parents and students of Bigstone National School during the Covid pandemic.

It was a fantastic way to bring all our community together, while ensuring the safety of all. Resources of several types have been purchased by the Parents Association because of their fundraising including readers, P.E equipment and I.T equipment.
